I recently read that sometimes you have to “let go of perfect”. I love this statement! When I am doing a lifestyle session in someone’s home, there may be clutter, kids won’t always do what you would like and plans won’t always work out. I have learned that regardless of how “less than perfect” a session is, I still get beautiful, fun images in the end that show so much more than a typical studio portrait. I love the chaos of a lifestyle session! There is so much movement and emotions during these sessions! And though, at times composition may be less than perfect, someone’s hair isn’t quite right or crankiness sets in…with a lifestyle session, less than perfect can be amazing!
